Craig M. Arnold, Managed Care Actuary
Craig has lived in New York, Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, and Colorado. Craig is an active athlete who 'discovered' inline skating and running in summer 1993.
Runner: Along with numerous 5K and 10K races, he has run twelve marathons (26.2 miles). Best time is 3 hours, 24 minutes. His goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon in 2001 with a time of under 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Running Awards: Top 500 Finisher in the Peachtree 10K in 1999 & 2000. 1st place age group medal; Georgia Games 5K 05/13/2000. 4th place ribbon; Arbutus 8K (Victoria, B.C., Canada), 06/99. Top 10 age group medal, 1999 Cherry Creek Sneak (Denver), 04/99. 3rd place age group trophy; Heart & Sole 5K (Dallas, TX), 10/98.
Road biking: Craig completed BRAG (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia) in June 2000. He went 442 miles in 6 days, including one day of over 100 miles.
Red Cross: Craig supports the Red Cross and is certified in CPR. He is pursuing training in Disaster Services.
Team In Training: Craig supports the Leukemia Society of America Team in Training program that raises money for Leukemia research while training runners, walkers, and cyclists for marathons and other events.
Inline skater (a.k.a. 'Rollerblader'): Has done the Athens-to-Atlanta (GA) skate marathon four times, at both the 38 mile (half) and 86 mile (full) distances. Best time: 7.5 hours for the full distance.
Mountain biking: Has mountain biked in Colorado, Utah, Georgia, and North Carolina. (However, Craig's brother Eric is much better.)
Other sports: Snowboarding, volleyball.
Note: No major sports company has offered to sponsor Craig at this time.
